Gianyar – Bali Safari Park is targeting up to a 50 percent increase in visitor numbers during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays. Management is optimistic that this target will be achieved with the opening of a new attraction, Marine Safari.

“Marine Safari, located within the Bali Safari Park area, will open starting December 27, 2024. We believe that visitor numbers will rise by 50 percent during the Nataru holiday season,” said Bali Safari Park General Manager, Laetitia Delvart, on Monday (December 23, 2024).

According to Laetitia, Bali Safari Park usually welcomes around 800 visitors on regular days. During holidays, the number increases to approximately 1,500 visitors.

She explained that the new Marine Safari attraction will provide guests with a fresh experience. In addition to viewing animals from around the world, visitors will now be able to try out the new attraction and feel the sensation of a marine adventure.

Visitors can enjoy the beauty of freshwater ecosystems in rainforests, lakes, rivers, estuaries, coastlines, and even the deep sea. They can also take photos in front of the iconic phinisi ship display featured in the new attraction.

“It will be an unforgettable interactive experience, including the chance to explore and interact with marine animals such as sharks,” she added.

Laetitia further revealed that Marine Safari currently houses around 5,000 fish from 230 freshwater and marine species sourced from around the world. She noted that the collection of aquatic animals will continue to expand until the grand opening, scheduled in 2025.
